WHY SOMATIC CLARITY COACHING?
When thinking alone isn't working anymore.
Somatic Clarity grew from years of exploring change professionally, personally and through my own coaching and somatic practice.
I have experienced for myself the difference between understanding something intellectually and having that understanding become part of how you actually live and respond. I continue to do this work because I don't see embodiment as something we complete. Life keeps giving us new opportunities to notice, listen and respond differently.
Over time, one thing has become increasingly important to me:

The relationship we have with ourselves is often the one we are taught least about.
Yet it can quietly influence what we tolerate, whether we trust ourselves, how readily we override what we need, and how we respond when life becomes difficult.
Hidden fears and protective patterns can also quietly shape our choices and limit what feels possible. Bringing them into awareness can help us loosen and change those patterns, opening up new choices and ways of responding.
Somatic Clarity creates space to nurture that relationship rather than simply trying to correct a behaviour.
There can be unexpected and sometimes beautiful discoveries along the way, including recognising that a reaction you have judged for years may have been trying to help you in the only way it knew how.
A collaborative way of working
We explore your experience together, with curiosity about what is actually happening in the moment.
A sensation, emotion, impulse, thought, image or subtle shift can offer useful information that might otherwise pass unnoticed. Often, it is beneath the familiar story and interpretation that something new begins to emerge.
As old beliefs, protective responses and energetic patterns come into awareness, they can begin to loosen. This creates more space for fresh insight, creative thinking and different perspectives to become available.
Your history can be part of the exploration when it naturally emerges, while the present-moment experience gives us a direct place to begin.
My role is to pay close attention, notice what might otherwise be missed and support the conditions for your own information, insight and clarity to emerge.
The aim is to move beyond understanding the old pattern and open up space for a genuinely new response, perspective or possibility.
What becomes possible
When you begin to relate differently to yourself, it can influence far more than the particular pattern that brought you to coaching.
A boundary can change a relationship. A different response can interrupt a familiar family dynamic. Greater self-trust can change what the people around you experience too.
Sometimes I think many of us would have loved to understand some of this years earlier.
The past may have shaped the pattern, but it doesn’t have to shape what comes next.
Experience behind the work
Before creating Somatic Clarity, I spent more than 20 years helping people and organisations navigate complex change in global environments, including PeopleSoft, Oracle and Workday.
My professional development includes transformational coaching, Clarity Coaching and Train the Trainer with Jamie Smart, Somatic Stress Release™ through The Embody Lab, and ongoing three-year Somatic Experiencing® training.
Complementing my coaching and somatic training, I continue to explore energy-based healing practices and meditation, which have strengthened my awareness of subtle changes in the body, presence, and relational space.
Alongside my professional training, parenting an autistic child with significant support needs has taught me a great deal about patience, listening beyond words, adapting to what is needed, and staying grounded in uncertainty.
Those experiences shape how I work, but your experience is uniquely your own.
Your experience holds the information. My role is to help you access it.
